Discussion in the Administrative forum
Japanese News Forums
I've been spending a lot of time the past year gathering news articles in both English and Japanese for the various news sections. However, there doesn't seem to be much interest in the Japanese posts.

I realize that this is mainly an English speaking community with several bilingual people seeing to it that Pro Yakyu isn't closed off to the Kanji-impaired. But those of you who do read Japanese, do you use the two Japanese sections on this site as a resource? Or do you just look things up on Japanese sites on your own?

I mostly look things up on my own. Your English articles are a great resource to me because I don't tend to scan through the English sites through all of their other-sports articles as much, and I use you as my aggregator. But for Japanese articles I tend to just look at Yahoo! Japan Baseball and read the articles with interesting headlines from my cellphone when on the train to/from work.

(Plus I guess, since discussion is in English, it seems a little weird to start a discussion in English about a Japanese article, doesn't it? Sort of like, half the audience might be left out of the original source.)
About

This is a site about Pro Yakyu (Japanese Baseball), not about who the next player to go over to MLB is. It's a community of Pro Yakyu fans who have come together to share their knowledge and opinions with the world. It's a place to follow teams and individuals playing baseball in Japan (and Asia), and to learn about Japanese (and Asian) culture through baseball.

It is my sincere hope that once you learn a bit about what we're about here that you will join the community of contributors.
