Tigers v Rakuten - A see-saw game

Tigers are beginning to build some momentum even when their pitchers don't exactly shine. They won this game 5-3 after losing the lead three times. They started well, Rakuten sent Rasner to the mound. He gave up a hit to Akahoshi who then stole second and was driven in by Toritani. Rakuten hit back when Ishikawa's control disappeared and he managed to load the bases with no outs. Amazlingly he limited the damage to one run, tying the game despite loading the bases again. Things were quiet to until Rakuten's fifth when Resop took the mound. He gave up a run in what would be a poor couple of innings from him. Tigers though responded well, Sakurai tied the game with a solo home run and then Saka made home on a grouund out after hitting a three base giving them the lead.

Resop couldn't hold the lead and Rakuten tied the game the innings after. Tigers jumped all over the Rakuten pitcher Gwyn in the sixth. Mench hit and was pinch run for by Uemoto who stole second. Katsuragi drove him in on a two base hit and then made home on a Saka hit. This was the end of the scoring and Tigers cruised to a safe victory after this. An encouraging game with lots of stealing by the Tigers (Toritani also stole third and Mench stole second).
