Atchison quits

In what is a serious blow to Tigers relief - Scott Atchison announced by e-mail that he would not be returning to Tigers next year. With Williams finished Atchison would have been the mainstay of the set-up and now Tigers have a big hole to fill. Atchison stated that he wanted to stay in America with his family and possibly seek an MLB contract. He will be very much missed.

[ Author: Guest: gotigersredsox | Posted: Oct 25, 2009 3:52 PM ]Wow, big loss. I wasn't too big on Atchison in his first year, but he had an excellent year this year. A lot of the Tigers relief pitchers are inconsistent, so it's a big blow.
