Tagami started for the Tigers and was OK up until the fourth when he gave up two runs. Back to the drawing board. Tigers batters couldn't string hits together despite having the same number of hits as Swallows and the same number of walks. Their only run came from the bat of Kanemoto. However, with a pitching error in their favour Swallows ran out 3-1 winners.
