The open sen doesn't really matter but even so if you take a four run lead and then blow it in the eighth against a side like the Marines you are in trouble even in the exhibition games. Tigers led 5-1 going into the eighth but Tsutsui blew it and gave up three runs. He left the mound with runners on and Watanabe promptly gave up the two runs needed by Marines to win the game 6-5. Not very encouraging one thinks.
