Iwata wasn't so good this game and gave up five runs in the second innings, This would prove enough for the Marines to win though they did add an insurance run in the sixth. It brought a change of catcher for Tigers with Komiyama taking over from Hidaka. Tigers couldn't score enough to haul them back and lost the game 6-4.
