Ho hum - you have a successful winning side which hammered the opposition despite poor pitching. So what do you do? You change the team and bring in a series of lightweights who even though they do hit against their weak opposition fall miserably short (Fukudome for one). Then you bring on an already demonstrated useless ex-MLB has been (Tateyama) to complete the debacle. Tigers batting had already clawed back one 3 run deficit and came close to pulling back a 4 run one. If Wada hadn't stupidly switched his lineup based on the discredited left/right hand pitcher theory and just picked his hottest batters Tigers would have taken this joke of a Swallows team even with the poor pitching they had. End result Swallows 7 Tigers 6.

Ah, yes. The curse of over-confidence.
