Hawks Acquire Three Foreigners

With many of the Hawks foreign talent not working out for the team last season, the team has been looking for new foreigners to fill the void and hopefully do better.

To this end, the Hawks have acquired former Texas Rangers sidewinding sinkerballer Kamerion Loe, 6'6'' pitcher Brian Falkenborg, and former Florida Marlins outfielder Chris Aguila.

Having seen Loe over parts of three seasons with the Rangers, I can say from watching him that he has good stuff, and his sidearming motion gives him good bite on his sinker. He's also versatile, as he has seen action in both the bullpen and the starting rotation, and could see ever-shifting roles in Japan the way he did in Texas.

Concerning Chris Aguila, the most games he has played at the Major League level was 65 in 2005 with the Marlins, where he batted .244. If he gets some at-bats, he should be good, but the at-bats may not be there if nobody gets hurt in the outfield.

Brian Falkenborg has unspectacular numbers in relief. However, the Hawks have had such a problem with their bullpen in the past couple seasons, anything could be seen as a possible fix, especially since the Hawks also used all their draft picks, save for one (Hayato Doue) on pitching.

I have a question that maybe you could answer. Im a big kameron Loe fan and want to watch the softbank hawks on tv if possible. I live in the u.s. internet broadcasts would be alright also. thanks

Dig around the forums in the "Media Guide" section. Things change from year to year with online broadcasts, though. It would probably be better if you checked back around the time the season starts.
