Pro Yakyu makes the front page in Seattle

Pro Yakyu makes the front page in Seattle
OK, so the main thing that Seattle fans are interested in is their former BayStar Sasaki. But Hucks-san, a Seattle Tribune writer visiting Japan, wrote up one of the best cross-cultural coverages between baseball in the East and West that I've ever come across. Her editor may have cut quite a bit from the article for mainstream consumption (she let me see an earlier draft that covered more), and he added a spelling mistake to the intro (Honshu, not Hunshu), but the the two articles are of top rate quality. Please have a look for yourselves.

About

This is a site about Pro Yakyu (Japanese Baseball), not about who the next player to go over to MLB is. It's a community of Pro Yakyu fans who have come together to share their knowledge and opinions with the world. It's a place to follow teams and individuals playing baseball in Japan (and Asia), and to learn about Japanese (and Asian) culture through baseball.

It is my sincere hope that once you learn a bit about what we're about here that you will join the community of contributors.
