Rakuten Acquires Sikorski
The Tohoku Rakuten Golden Eagles have announced that they've acquired former Yomiuri Giants relief pitcher Brian Sikorski on November 21st. At the time of this post, I haven't found any contract details yet.

Great signing by Rakuten. Good start to their off-season. They need to sign Chin-Feng-Chen next.

Yes! I'm glad the Giants' front office is stupid enough to get rid of one of their most productive pitchers. And Rakuten sure needs any help it can get.

I've been reading some very interesting reports about Sikorski lately in the papers here. If I'm reading correctly, Rakuten is having trouble with the actual contract, and still hasn't officially signed Brian. Some papers are stating that Brian is considering returning to MLB. There was also one report, (Sponichi Annex in Japanese), that says there's a possibility that Brian might be traded to another NPB club.
