Rakuten Eagles Wants Shingo Takatsu
Closer Shingo Takatsu is likely returning to Japan. The 37 year old stopper is being coveted heavily by the Rakuten Golden Eagles.

Takatsu broke Kazuhiro Sasaki's saves record in Japan before heading to the Major Leagues with the Chicago White Sox. His first season would turn out to be his best as he posted a 6-4 mark with 19 saves and a 2.31 ERA in 59 games. However, he struggled in 2005 and was sent to the New York Mets.

Will we see manager Nomura blow-up again and cry like a baby if Takatsu decides to return to the Swallows like Ishii did? :P

Shingo Takatsu has decided to return to the Yakult Swallows.

Swallows' player-manager Atsuya Furuta was impressed with Takatsu's showing at the team's Spring camp.
