Eagles Hire Lopez as Scout
The Rakuten Eagles hired former Hiroshima Carp and Daiei Hawks player Luis Lopez as a foreign scout.

Lopez played with the Carp from 1996-97 and 2000-01, and the Hawks in 1998. Lopez batted .303 with 129 HRs and 510 RBI in his NPB career. He was selected to Best Nines (1996 and 1997). [Full Japan Times Article] [Japan Baseball Daily Stats]
