Hanshin Clinches Pennant at 7:35pm, 15-9-03
As of now, the Hanshin Tigers are the Central League champions. They won their game, reducing the magic number to 1, but that game was against Hiroshima, which was one of the two teams that could possibly beat the Tigers. And just now, the BayStars beat the Swallows, 12-6, removing the other obstacle.

The magic number is zero, and the pennant belongs to the Tigers! I can't wait to see the papers tomorrow morning. I wish I were in a tall office building in Osaka, watching the chaos that is inevitably unfolding as we speak.
