This is a site about Pro Yakyu (Japanese Baseball), not about who the next player to go over to MLB is. It's a community of Pro Yakyu fans who have come together to share their knowledge and opinions with the world. It's been pretty much assumed that "Mr. Thrid Base Coach," who happened to double as manager the past couple of seasons, would continue his stint at the hot corner with Seibu next season. While he doesn't deny the possiblity of managing another team, his only comment for now is that he'll be doing his best to overtake Daiei until the pennant is decided.
The Lions' last scheduled game is on October 5. Orix are considering announcing Ihara as their manager as early as October 6.
With the pressure off Lee-kantoku now, Orix took two games in a row yesterday and today, both sayonara home runs in extra innings. Unlike all season, Orix did a great job of catch-up in both games.
