This is a site about Pro Yakyu (Japanese Baseball), not about who the next player to go over to MLB is. It's a community of Pro Yakyu fans who have come together to share their knowledge and opinions with the world. It's a place to follow teams and individuals playing baseball in Japan (and Asia), and to learn about Japanese (and Asian) culture through baseball.
It is my sincere hope that once you learn a bit about what we're about here that you will join the community of contributors.

Sano dominated Ohmuta throughout the game, putting runners in scoring position through much of the first half, then scoring 5 in the top of the ninth thanks in part to a one out bobbled ball at short with bases loaded and a two run timely.
Ohmuta had a number of opportunities, but Sano's catcher did a good job throwing out players attempting to steal second. A good catcher is very important in these tournaments. In fact, Sano made it through the game without committing an error, a very big plus to holding Ohmuta scoreless.
Ohmuta's catcher and defense didn't fair quite as well against Sano's base runners.
