NPB Commisioner Wants Two-League System
NPB's commisioner Yasuchika Negoro said Thursday that he priortizes keeping the two-league system. Negoro said, "We have had two leagues for 55 years of the 70-year history of Japanese baseball. We have to consider first if we could keep them, and if we find it hard to do it, there may be an opinion in favor of a switch to one league." Negoro said this after meeting with the Democratic Party of Japan chief Yoshito Sengoku and other lawmakers. Sengoku said he would like to put a proposal to keep the two party system. About

This is a site about Pro Yakyu (Japanese Baseball), not about who the next player to go over to MLB is. It's a community of Pro Yakyu fans who have come together to share their knowledge and opinions with the world. It's a place to follow teams and individuals playing baseball in Japan (and Asia), and to learn about Japanese (and Asian) culture through baseball.

It is my sincere hope that once you learn a bit about what we're about here that you will join the community of contributors.
