Negoro Urges Players to End Strike

Negoro Urges Players to End Strike
The NPB commisioner, Yasuchika Negoro, urged the players to end their walkout as soon as possible. He said "the walkout would bring them no benefits" and "(The walkout) will impoverish the baseball teams. It will inflict considerable damage on some teams. I disagree with those who say the strike will bring forth something good for the players." [Link - Daily Yomiuri]

Negoro has no clue about the problems in the NPB, he's a puppet of Tsuneo Watanabe, and they need a stronger commisioner.

Negoro presented his resignation to the NPB Executive Committee. [Link - Daily Yomiuri]

It's not like anyone cares about this or that this will have an impact on anything. The Comissioner and the NPB should have done something about the merger.

It looks like Negoro will be staying, at least for the time being as the team owners persuaded him to stay. Negoro said he will stay until a successor is found. [Link - Daily Yomiuri]
