Atchison quits

Discussion in the Tiger Tails forum
Atchison quits
In what is a serious blow to Tigers relief - Scott Atchison announced by e-mail that he would not be returning to Tigers next year. With Williams finished Atchison would have been the mainstay of the set-up and now Tigers have a big hole to fill. Atchison stated that he wanted to stay in America with his family and possibly seek an MLB contract. He will be very much missed.

Wow, big loss. I wasn't too big on Atchison in his first year, but he had an excellent year this year. A lot of the Tigers relief pitchers are inconsistent, so it's a big blow.
