This is a site about Pro Yakyu (Japanese Baseball), not about who the next player to go over to MLB is. It's a community of Pro Yakyu fans who have come together to share their knowledge and opinions with the world. It's a place to follow teams and individuals playing baseball in Japan (and Asia), and to learn about Japanese (and Asian) culture through baseball.
It is my sincere hope that once you learn a bit about what we're about here that you will join the community of contributors.

The Hawks have no outfielders representing their team, and I'm frankly not surprised. Everybody was hurt, especially CF Tamura, who led Team Japan in home runs in the 2006 tournament with 3.
With 5 players (and one other former player in Johjima), the only other teams that have as many players as SoftBank are the Hokkaido Nippon Ham Fighters and the Nepotism Crew, Hara's own Giants (Yomiuri has 6 representatives total if one includes Lee Seung-Yeop on Korea).
As stated before, this is the provisional roster, so it's not final. If Hara is smart, he'll let Mahara stay home with the team since he's still not 100%, and a couple starters will be used in the bullpen. Also, who knows if Kawasaki will opt out because he was hurt for the final month of last season. We will know in time.
