Where are they Now? Boomer Wells

Where are they Now? Boomer Wells
Currently, Boomer Wells is my high school baseball coach in Rome, GA, which is about 60 miles north of Atlanta. Just thought everyone was wondering where he was these days. He resides in Cartersville.

That's interesting. I saw Boomer Wells on T.V. here in Japan about 2 years ago and he said that he was an agent and that he wanted to bring a lot of good American players to Japan.

Unfortunately, I don't think his career as an agent has gone too well. He brought Tony Mitchell to the Daiei Hawks in 2001 I think. Mitchell, who was related to former NL MVP and former Daiei Hawk Kevin Mitchell, was a big-time bust.

This is a site about Pro Yakyu (Japanese Baseball), not about who the next player to go over to MLB is. It's a community of Pro Yakyu fans who have come together to share their knowledge and opinions with the world. It's a place to follow teams and individuals playing baseball in Japan (and Asia), and to learn about Japanese (and Asian) culture through baseball.

It is my sincere hope that once you learn a bit about what we're about here that you will join the community of contributors.
