First Weekend Recommendations?

First Weekend Recommendations?
Any suggestions as to which game would be easier to get a ticket to the first weekend of the baseball regular season in Tokyo? I'm looking at either the opening series at ToDo between the Giants and Baystars or the opening series at Jingu between the Swallows and Tigers. I'm thinking the Swallows/Tigers would be harder to get in to, but my understanding is that Giants games are sold out on a regular basis, not to mention it IS the season opener. Recommendations?

I imagine both games will be pretty full.

With regard to the game at Jingu, Tigers visits to Tokyo are almost universally stadium fillers, and this coupled with it being the first game of the Furuta-era should make it doubly busy. However, as usual at Jingu, if you get there early enough before the game starts you should be able to get a non-reserved outfield ticket without too much trouble.

As for the Giants game, the fact that it's Hara-kantoku's first game back in charge alone should lead to it being packed as well. I don't really know too much about ticketing at Tokyo Dome.

I shall be at Jingu myself and cannot wait for the new season to begin!

Any idea how early to be at the stadium (Jingu) if you don't have tickets, Yakulto? Just out of curiosity, which game will you be going to that opening weekend (Friday, Sat, or Sun)?

Usually if you show up an hour before the game at the latest then you should be OK. However, this being the opening series of the Tigers' defense of their CL title means it could be different.

The ticket office just around from the entrance under the scoreboard is the place to get those unreserved tickets.

I should hopefully be going to all 3 games of that series.

Hey Yakulto (or anyone else in the know), is there a Swallows store near the stadium, by any chance?

Thanks,
Chris

There is a stand under the right field bleachers that sells all manner of Swallows goods. It is a stand though, not a store that you can walk around. Yakult are terrible at marketing and self promotion. There are also smaller stands outside the stadium.
