How do you get out of an inning with the Marines?

How do you get out of an inning with the Marines?
Answer: load the bases. Hanshin did that about 5 or six times with us, and got out of it clean (two occasisions I remember, there were no outs!). There was one time when a run was walked in - a bittersweet run to get (on a side question, does that count as an earned run?), and another time two runs were driven in.

If the Marines can't get their act together and get people across the plate in those situations, then they can settle right back into 5th and 6th place. Pathetic showing at Koshien.

Again, the Tigers did it yesterday. Three times they loaded the bases, and 2 times it was with nobody out. But they got only 2 runs scored the first time Hanshin loaded the bases.

Was Nohmi amazing or is it just Marines lack the "thing."
