- This forum is the place to go for information on yakyu, so I want to take our knowledge base and start editing the wikis so we can add some history and some other good information to wikipedia.
We've already been doing a lot of NPB information at the baseball-only wiki at Baseball-Reference.
We have 869 articles in the Nippon Pro Baseball Players category, entries for every year's Japan Series, entries on every team, pages for 82 NPB managers, and much more. It might be better ground to work on than the general wikipedia.

I still feel that adding more to the wikipedia articles would be a good thing to do. Maybe not to the depth as the link you provided, but more into the history at minimum.

This is a site about Pro Yakyu (Japanese Baseball), not about who the next player to go over to MLB is. It's a community of Pro Yakyu fans who have come together to share their knowledge and opinions with the world. It's a place to follow teams and individuals playing baseball in Japan (and Asia), and to learn about Japanese (and Asian) culture through baseball.
It is my sincere hope that once you learn a bit about what we're about here that you will join the community of contributors.

I've been browsing on Wikipedia for quite a while now and when I look up NPB teams, there really isn't much information other then the amount of championships won. The Giants and the Tigers have some other information, but it's still really lacking compared to what it should be. Yakult and Seibu are probably the worst examples of how little info there is about these teams, which is tragic considering their great history.
