Has to be fake. I've run into plenty of fake Japanese celebs on MySpace who I happen to have connections to via a very busy friend of mine. All fake.
If that is a legit page, then his priorities are totally out of order.

Judging how he is doing in the Venezuela Winter League, his pitching, regrettably, is out of order as well. [MLB.com Article]

This is a site about Pro Yakyu (Japanese Baseball), not about who the next player to go over to MLB is. It's a community of Pro Yakyu fans who have come together to share their knowledge and opinions with the world. I'm sure many of you have MySpace accounts, but for those that don't, a quick re-cap: When you log in, MySpace throws up two or three random "cool people" for you to browse and, if you feel like it, contact. It is a random process.
Anyway, I logged in today, and one of the "cool people" that appeared was "Yusaku." Click. Turned out to be Yusaku Iriki, who says: "i am from tokyo, i am 34 years old. i used to play baseball for the Tokyo Giants and Hokkaido Nippon Ham Figthers and now i am play for the New York mets.
It's weird who you find on MySpace.
