Matsuzaka Rookie Card?

Discussion in the Open Talk forum
Matsuzaka Rookie Card?
Can anyone e-mail me and let me know what the "true" rookie card, and number is for Matsuzaka? I am sensing it may be a 1999 Calbee card, but there are many variations of the card. If anyone has any information about these cards, please e-mail me at ljbrd33 atMark verizon d0t net.

I would greatly appreciate any information about this much sought after card here in the U.S. I am just not sure if these cards will be considered his rookie card, or if a U.S. company, ie: Topps or U.D. will be considered his Rookie card.

Thanks!
Pete

This page [RobsJapaneseCards] confirms that there are 3 variations of the card.

The Calbee cards are considered his NPB rookie card, while and when Matsuzaka appears on a card by Topps, Upper Deck, Fleer, Donruss, etc. it will be considered his MLB rookie card.
