Akinori Iwamura had quite an impressive first week with the Devil Rays. The club's new third baseman spent his first week in the Major Leagues playing in New York, and then in his new hometown of St. Petersburg. And he didn't disappoint, hitting .529 in his first five games, which included his first home run, a .619 on-base percentage and a .765 slugging percentage.
He's agreed to share his thoughts in a weekly story on devilrays.com, entitled Aki's Diary. Here's the first installment:
