Tetsuya Yoneda: "Among the best in innings pitched (2nd), wins (2nd) and strikeouts (2nd)."

Again, sounds like it could apply to several U.S. pitchers like Carlton and Spahn, but Yoneda-san was a mid-period righty. I don't have enough information to whittle it down any further than Phil Niekro, Don Sutton, Bert Blyleven, Tom Seaver, or Gaylord Perry.

I think we may have taken Seaver, Niekro is a knuckleballer, and Blyleven isn't in the HOF. I'd leave those 3 out for those reasons.

My image of Gaylord is more of a workhorse than Sutton, and thus I'd lean toward him of the choices given.
