Major Awards in Japan Baseball

Major Awards in Japan Baseball
Hello,

We are wanting to name our awards in our fantasy Japan League appropriately, I am sure the Nippon League has names for their MVP, Cy Young equivalent, Rookie of the Year, and Manager of the Year just to name a few, I am wondering what the awards are named?

Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Commissioner
Japan League of CSFBL

The MVP award is called the MVP award. The Rookie of the Year is called the Rookie of the Year. The Sawamura Award is the equivalent of the Cy Young Award.

Thank you.

Are there any other awards handed out that might be equivalent to the Silver Slugger Award or the Gold Glove? Fireman of the Year? Comeback Player of the Year?

There is also the "Best Nine" Awards which are the top players at each position in each league.

Don't forget that like MLB where the awards are for the American and National Leagues; NPB has separate winners for the Central and Pacific Leagues.

Maybe that doesn't apply to Fantasy Leagues.

Actually our Fantasy league does separate the awards, so that info is very useful, thank you very much.

The Sawamura Award only goes to one pitcher, regardless of league.

There are Gold Glove Awards and a Fireman of the Year Award, yes.
