This is a site about Pro Yakyu (Japanese Baseball), not about who the next player to go over to MLB is. It's a community of Pro Yakyu fans who have come together to share their knowledge and opinions with the world. It's a place to follow teams and individuals playing baseball in Japan (and Asia), and to learn about Japanese (and Asian) culture through baseball.
It is my sincere hope that once you learn a bit about what we're about here that you will join the community of contributors.

I have always been skeptical of Korean players playing in NPB. I don't quite remember exactly how many, but there were a few Korean players who attempted but failed. The only "success" that I have heard of was a few years ago when Dong-yul Sun pitched for Chunichi.
Personally, I think Lee will perform decently. Lee's success in KBO, I belive, was because: first, the top ERA in KBO last season was somewhere in the 3s, and second, KBO is little better than Double-A. Basically, Lee was able to inflate his numbers, especially his home run numbers, because pitchers were not really good at all.
I was upset with Lee's retort when he commented on ESPN's failure to mention him as one of the top 10 free agents for MLB. Who does he think he is?
Anyone would care to predict how well Seung-Yeop Lee will do this season in NPB?
