This is a site about Pro Yakyu (Japanese Baseball), not about who the next player to go over to MLB is. It's a community of Pro Yakyu fans who have come together to share their knowledge and opinions with the world. It's a place to follow teams and individuals playing baseball in Japan (and Asia), and to learn about Japanese (and Asian) culture through baseball.
It is my sincere hope that once you learn a bit about what we're about here that you will join the community of contributors.

If you watch Major League games, MLB batters will successfully bunt and advance a runner 9 times out of 10. In Japanese games it is more like 5 or 6 times out of 10, you see a lot of bunts hit back to the pitcher and the on base runner is thrown out; pop ups to the catcher/pitcher, etc.
Has anyone else noticed this? I find it curious as the bunt is more often employed in the Japanese game than in MLB.
