Does anyone know what the Eagles are going to do with Rick Short?

I see no reason for them to not re-sign him. He was second place in the Pacific League in batting average. He's the most consistent contact bat on the entire team. Rakuten would be foolish not to re-sign a basically guaranteed .320 hitter. It's not like they have some young prospects in the field, either.
