Cheng: Offically better that Matuzaka.
He has a better record (7-4 to Mat's 7-5), a lower ERA (3.14 to Mat's 3.36), 9 more K's, and 2 more IP's. He could be going to the MLB in a few years from now.

How old is this guy?
Let's hope he comes over sooner than later. That way those coaches over in Japan won't blow out his arm for him with excessive usage, which Japanese managers always do.

Since bursting onto the scene in 2002 with a 2.71 ERA in 19 GP and posting a 4.98 ERA last season, Chang has matured into becoming the Seibu Lions' most valuable pitcher (arguably). He always maintained he wanted to be better than Daisuke Matsutaka, and the two are both right there.
Choosing Japan over the Major Leagues, the right hander Chang signed a lucrative multi-million dollar contract with the Leos. He also received a cool million US for his signing bonus.
There might be a chance Chang and Matsutaka could both end up in the Majors one day. Both have great stuff and will mature with age. Similarily, both had problems with base-on-balls, too.
