Hayakawa for Tsuji - a Bust

Hayakawa for Tsuji - a Bust
It seems the Hayakawa for Tsuji trade has been a total bust for the Buffaloes. Tsuji didn't even make the team. I can say the same for trading Tani for Kamoshide and Nagata. Orix trades away all stars and gets bums.

That's an interesting statement regarding Tani. I'd thought for a couple of years that Tani's only value was being married to "Yawara-chan, the stylish judo girl." His comeback with the Giants last year was a bit of a surprise.

Yeah, I was surprised about the Hayakawa trade when I first found out about it. Daisuke has speed and showed he can be a regular starter in the past. He's also turned into a real fan favorite for his gutsy plays and is liked in the clubhouse. Tsuji has a possible .300 bat, but the power and defense aren't there. With Lotte having Satozaki, it was a really good trade to make.

Kamoshida, the pitcher Orix got in the Tani trade, pitched last night. He was awful. He pitched 1 2/3 innings allowing 5 walks. That has always been his problem. No wonder the Giants wanted to unload him on the unsuspecting Nakamura.

"The Unsuspecting Nakamura."

Perfect! That should be his nickname. One gets the feeling that his constant look of either outrage or bewilderment is a result of everything being a surprise to him.
