Yasuaki Taiho's School

Discussion in the Open Talk forum
Yasuaki Taiho's School
I was working on a bio of Yasuaki Taiho for Baseball-Reference. Japan Baseball Daily lists his college as Nagoya Shogyo University but a Google search doesn't bring up this school. Is it the same as Nagoya University?

He went to Nagoya University of Commerce & Business, which is different from Nagoya University.

Natuskashii indeed. Taihou was playing for the Tigers when I arrived in Japan years ago.

I've always liked the female stadium announcers in Japan: "yon-ban, Tai-hou" had a nice ring to it.

"TAIHOUUUUU SAKURETSU!" from the TV is another one I remember.

So natsukashii that I got it wrong. The first line should read: Toshiiiii tagiraseeeee.

Toraphiles will notice that I mistakenly took the first line from Imaoka's Hitting March from the old days.

At least you didn't confuse it with Kataoka's original song about the the hot tub or whatever it was.
