Giants Tickets?

Discussion in the Ask the Commish forum
Giants Tickets?
Hello.

I will be visiting Tokyo August 6-15 and I would like to know how to get Tickets for the Yomiuri Giants at Tokyo Dome? I see from the schedule that there are local games on August 10th, 11th, and 12th. Are these already sold-out? If not where can I buy tickets? Are there scalpers outside the stadium? How much are the tickets?

Thanks.

Pat

You can try the Dome box office several days before the game or on the afternoon of game day (if it's not sold out). The 5,200 yen seats may be available, but they will be at the top of the section and that's 40+ rows from the field. You can also try the ticket brokers in Shinjuku. If you go out the west exit and go north, they will be in the shopping/dining area right before the big intersection. Expect to pay at least a 25% premium for pretty good seats. But don't get a seat too close to the field because the perimeter fence is a pain.
