Dou desu ka, Kyoto Firebirds? (Samurai Bears)

Dou desu ka, Kyoto Firebirds? (Samurai Bears)
It took a good bit of googling to find out that the Samurai Bears of the Golden Baseball League in California/Arizona folded their USA operations, and are now known as the Kyoto Firebirds of Japan. Beyond that, I can find no info on the team. Anyone out there know how this bunch is doing? How about former kantoku Warren Cromartie-san? And if there is any kind of website or other way to keep up on them? Many thanks for any input.

I have to admit that I lost interest in the team (as did, I suppose, many others) when they quickly sank beyond deep in the 2005 GBL standings. I regret now that I didn't bang that drum a bit more amongst my own yakyu friends, but hope they are reviving in Kyoto.

This is a site about Pro Yakyu (Japanese Baseball), not about who the next player to go over to MLB is. It's a community of Pro Yakyu fans who have come together to share their knowledge and opinions with the world. It's a place to follow teams and individuals playing baseball in Japan (and Asia), and to learn about Japanese (and Asian) culture through baseball.

It is my sincere hope that once you learn a bit about what we're about here that you will join the community of contributors.
