Japan's 2003 World Cup Team

Discussion in the Ask the Commish forum
Japan's 2003 World Cup Team
I have almost all of the information I need for the 24-player roster from Japan that played in the 2003 World Cup tournament, in Cuba. However, from the stats page for the Cup, there was no listing of the batting hand for position players or pitching hand for the pitchers. I don't think any of them are Japan Leaguers. If anyone could fill in the righty/lefty info for me, it would be greatly appreciated. Also, directly by e-mail would be best: belinyoh at charter d0t net.

Sincere thanks.

Browse through this page. It has Bats/Throws handedness for all of the player who were/are in Nippon Professional Baseball who attended. You will find some spellings different, like Ito is Itoh (the long "o" is transliterated as "h" on the back of players' uniforms, which is the convention I use). That should narrow it down to just a few missing names who weren't drafted since then at most.

Hope this helps.
