Well, as you can see from his player profile page, he's with "HC" - which is the Hiroshima Carp. I guess that isn't clear to new comers. I'll have to fix that in my next version.

The next logical question is, how did he do in 2004? Well, you can find that on the leaders' board.

I don't know if he's re-signed yet for 2005. But with his performance this year, the Carp would be foolish not to keep him.

No need to fix anything. I mis-typed, sorry.

"Why is Greg LaRocca not playing?" was how it was supposed to read. Sorry for that. Is he injured? Do you post injuries somewhere on the site?

Thanks for your patience and help.

Ah, I figured you meant "where" instead of "why."

A quick trip to Google News in Japanese brought up this Nikkan Sports article [in Japanese] stating that LaRocca went on the DL on October 2 due to an injury (pulled muscle?) to the back of his right thigh. Otherwise, I'd have guessed that, like many other foreign players in the past, he returned home after the pennant had been decided.

Regretably, I don't track injuries very well. Keeping close watch on transactions (injured players going to ni-gun included) is something I keep wanting to do, but don't seem to have found the proper motivation for. I'll try to work it into my site redesign over the off season, but won't promise anything right now.

Hope this helps.
