Discussion in the Ask the Commish forum
Wayne Foltin to NPB in 2009?
I wanted to find out if a right handed pitcher named Wayne Foltin was added to any of the Japanese teams, probably a couple months ago.

Not that I'm aware of.

East Windup Chronicles has a short New Crop of Gaijin article up with most of the new signings. A search of Nikkan Sports (in Japanese) also came up empty.

I haven't come across this name either, but a quick Googlin' shows that he's played in single-A in America, which would put him more at the Independent League level in Japan.

Foltin is scheduled to play with Long Beach Armada. Still waiting to be picked up. Excellent player. I don't understand why no one ever notices this guy.
