西武Ｇ・Ｇ・佐藤外野手（２８）が２打席連続アーチを放った。７回無死一、三塁から鈴木の速球をたたいて中堅越えに２号３ラン。８回２死では久本の変化球をとらえ再び中堅右に３号ソロを放った。オープン戦４試合目の出場で早くも３号の好調ぶり。本人は「たまたまです」と照れたが、伊東監督は「特に２本目の本塁打は素晴らしい打ち方だった」と絶賛だった。
