意地の一撃だった。ヤクルト青木が８回、右翼席に１号ソロを放った。相手は、前日のゲームで空振り三振を喫した中日小林。変則左腕にまったくタイミングが合わずに腰砕けになっていたが、わずか１日で修正して見せた。チームは２戦連続完封負けペースだったが、高い適応能力で一矢報いた。
