オリックスのボールモンキー「ゴウくん」（オス＝４歳）が球界初の大技を披露した。３回裏終了後、直径１メートル近くある大玉に乗って登場。玉乗りしながら球審にボールを渡すサーカス・パフォーマンスを成功させた。スタンドからは大きな拍手喝さいが起こった。
