横浜・吉村が藤川を打って勝負を決めた。同点の十回二死二塁で、フルカウントからのフォークボールを左翼線へ二塁打し「勝つしかない状況で勝ててうれしい」。１日の巨人戦での本塁打に続くサヨナラ打となった。藤川に２試合連続で黒星をつけ、阪神に連勝。大矢監督は「藤川も連投なのでチャンスはあると思った。阪神には随分やられているから、できるだけ追いつきたい」とコメントした。
