ヤクルトのアレックス・ラミレス外野手（３３）が、右打者では初の２００安打を達成した。５回の第３打席で、横浜三橋から三塁強襲の内野安打を放ち、イチロー（現マリナーズ）青木（ヤクルト）以来３人目の大台を突破。ラミレスは「クリーンなヒットではなかったけど、２００安打を達成できたことを素直に喜びたい。監督をはじめ、チーム全員のおかげ。みんなに感謝したい」と話した。
