ロッテが１発攻勢で大勝し、日本ハムに雪辱した。パ・リーグのクライマックスシリーズ（ＣＳ）第２ステージ（Ｓ＝５試合制）第２戦で、里崎智也捕手（３１）の逆転２ランを含む２本塁打など今季最多の５アーチと打線が爆発した。中４日で先発した小林宏之投手（２９）が４回に右ふくらはぎけいれんで降板するアクシデントもあったが、リリーフ陣が踏ん張った。初戦の「ダルビッシュ・ショック」を払しょくする８－１の快勝で、１勝１敗の五分とした。
