Japanese in the Minors

Discussion in the Nichi-Bei forum
Japanese in the Minors
I've been gettng a few messages from people searching for player in the Minors.  One request I've gotten repetedly is "Where is Maeda?  I can't find him in the Major or Minor League roster sites."

Well, it turns out that "Katsu" Maeda has returned to Japan and is now pitching for the Chunichi Dragons.  That's why he's so elusive to those MLB search engines.

However ...

several people are still interested in knowing what Japanese players are currently in the North American (and I'd like to add South American) Minor League systems.

Since I don't generally keep track of players after they leave Japan (some -Ichiro- can't be avoided), I'm hoping you all can help out with this one.  I thought I had seen a list of them on the Pro Yakyu Mailing List, but no search keys I entered brought up anything useful.

Does anybody have such a list handy?

About

This is a site about Pro Yakyu (Japanese Baseball), not about who the next player to go over to MLB is. It's a community of Pro Yakyu fans who have come together to share their knowledge and opinions with the world. It's a place to follow teams and individuals playing baseball in Japan (and Asia), and to learn about Japanese (and Asian) culture through baseball.

It is my sincere hope that once you learn a bit about what we're about here that you will join the community of contributors.
