Elephants release P Liu Yu-Cheng

Discussion in the CPBL News forum
Elephants release P Liu Yu-Cheng
The Brother Elephants have released star pitcher Liu Yu-Cheng because he received money from gangsters. Even though he admitted taking money he has denied participating in fixing games. As the ace in 2009 Liu went 11-6 with a 3.31 ERA in 22 games.

Due to allegations of match-fixing the Sinon Bulls have released catcher Lee Yi-Wei while the La New Bears released hurled Huang Hong-Ren.
About

This is a site about Pro Yakyu (Japanese Baseball), not about who the next player to go over to MLB is. It's a community of Pro Yakyu fans who have come together to share their knowledge and opinions with the world. It's a place to follow teams and individuals playing baseball in Japan (and Asia), and to learn about Japanese (and Asian) culture through baseball.

It is my sincere hope that once you learn a bit about what we're about here that you will join the community of contributors.
