Elephants sign P Ricardo Gomez

Discussion in the CPBL News forum
Elephants sign P Ricardo Gomez
The Brother Elephants have signed 33 year old right handed pitcher Ricardo Gomez. This season Gomez was 2-0 with 2 saves in 21 games with a 2.13 ERA for the York Revolution (independent Atlantic League).

With Gomez being a reliever is Ryan Cullen's tenure with the Elephants in trouble? He's had some injury problems this year but nevertheless has been quite effective when healthy (1-1, 11 saves, 1.78 ERA in 23 games). The yellow shirts might consider converting Gomez to starter (he's done that before in the Minor Leagues) as Orlando Roman (9-6, 4.10 ERA in 23 games) has struggled as of late.
