Kosuke Fukudome in MLB?
Does anyone know if/when Fukudome will be a free agent and what how do you think he'll do in the bigs?

Kosuke Fukudome won't be a free agent for a while, and there is no to little possibility that the Dragons will post him in my opinion.

For more on Fukudome read this article: "The 2005 NPB Review of NPB Free Agents, Posted Players, and Players of Interests" by Jim Albright.

That's too bad. His numbers are really good and he probably could be a decent player in the majors.

Do you know what factors the teams consider when they decide whether to post a player or not?

That article says that Fukudome wasn't going to the majors in 2005, what about 2006?

If he does make it, everyone, and I mean everyone, is going to have a field day with his last name. Perhaps just for that, he might as well stay in Japan. I'm sure Chunichi fans wouldn't mind. Or perhaps, he'll end up like Ichiro and have his first name on his jersey.

He's not a free agent, and it doesn't seem anybody is getting posted this year. So it seems unlikely he's coming in 2006.
