South Korea squelches Hoshino Japan's quest for gold
Japan's chance of winning a gold medal in Olympic baseball evaporated Friday as South Korea downed Senichi Hoshino's team 6-2 at Wukesong Baseball Main Field under clear blue skies on a warm summer day.
